  • Senior Consultant, User Experience Research

    eVOC Insights is seeking an Senior Research Consultant for User Experience in San Francisco. Join us as we work with Fortune 1000 companies across the U.S. to build, execute, test, and improve the user experience of their digital products!

    In this role, your goal will be to seamlessly manage, conduct, analyze, and deliver user experience research. While we have a strong team willing to provide support and guidance, we are seeking someone who has experience moderating in-person user experience research in a professional environment.  In this position, you will be exposed to both traditional and emerging qualitative and quantitative research techniques and apply them to desktop and mobile websites, apps, prototypes, and more. You will see the findings from your research make a direct impact on the UX and bottom line of our clients.

    At this time, there is a special need for a more qualitative-focused associate, who has a strong background in moderating research labs in-person and remotely or transferable skills (interviewing, public speaking). Analyzing qualitative research requires the ability identify emerging themes from user verbatim and user behavior, and building logical arguments with supporting data. The personality and skills of an excellent qualitative user researcher typically include being highly observant, empathetic, reflective, and cautious about coming to conclusions.

    In addition to managing client work, you will also be responsible for contributing to eVOC’s social media and marketing efforts.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Manage client research projects from kickoff through final deliverables
    • Assist other research consultants with client projects
    • Conduct qualitative, quantitative and behavioral analysis
    • Create client deliverables
    • Contribute to white papers, case studies, and blog
    • Average of 2 trips per month (within US)


    • 2 years’ experience in User Experience Research (preferred) or Market Research
    • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent time management skills with ability to manage strict, frequent deadlines
    • Strong analytical skills, with very high attention to detail
    • Excellent listener and public speaker
    • Creative thinker and independent problem-solver
    • Innate curiosity about user behavior
    • High comfort level with technology and troubleshooting software on computers and mobile devices
    • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PPT, Excel)
    • Typing speed at least 60 wpm

    Bonus Points For:

    • Educational background or work experience in the field of market research, psychology, sociology, communication, visual design, or human-computer interaction
    • Ability to create mockups, interactive wireframes, or functional prototypes
